“You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me!” Psalm 92:4a (NLT)
Have you ever been thrilled by God? The psalmist was. He wasn’t ashamed to proclaim it either. He said, “You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me! I sing for joy because of what You have done.” Psalm 92:4 (NLT)
We only have to take inventory for a second, and we would agree. God delights in thrilling His children! He lavishes His blessings on us. What has He done for you lately? In verse one of this psalm, the Bible says, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.” Pause for just a moment before you continue in your busy day and reflect on all that God has done for you through this COVID crisis. How has He sustained you? What are you most grateful for? Turn your gratitude into a song of thanksgiving to the Lord.
Historians tell us that this psalm was sung in Temple services on the Sabbath. Those who are thrilled by God don’t have stuffy, boring worship times. They can’t wait to express what God has done. Verse 5 says, “O Lord, what great works you do!”
This is the kind of worship that delights the heart of God! Never be ashamed to proclaim the goodness of God! How has He thrilled you? Share it, and your very life will become attractive to those around you.
