Relational Health

Have you ever wondered why we are instructed to put the oxygen mask on ourselves before helping someone else? It is so we can be a healing agent to others. That is what the church does. That is what we do in our area and all over the world, we reach out to people. We are healing agents, but you cannot be a healing agent unless you are whole and experiencing God’s healing in your own life. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says:

“Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love.”

We make it so complicated.  Simplify your life with the most profound thing you can do and make love your number one priority.  Loving God with all of your heart and loving others.  And like all relationships, it requires commitment.  The commitments we make to God should reflect onto our family, our marriages, and everybody we know. This is part of honoring God with our life.

We are all fellow travelers and under construction. We need God’s grace and forgiveness daily. As we pray to God we are reminded that we are to extend to others the grace that God extends to us. This is when we are most like Jesus. It is God’s kindness that leads people to repentance, which in turn, brings healing for us and the world. This is the healing agent that will make an unforgettable impact in a lost and broken world.
