Grace Stories: Leaving a Legacy of Faith

“Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult faith wardrobe – Christ’s life, the fulfillment of God’s original promise.”  Galatians 3:27 (MSG)

How intentional is your faith? In this video story, Vinny and Natasha share the tipping point that brought them into a more intentional faith relationship with Jesus Christ in which they began to experience God’s purpose for their lives and their family. When they took that step of baptism in obedience to Christ, they wanted to send a clear message to their children that would leave them a legacy of faith.

The Bible tells us that our baptism in Christ has a double meaning.  It not only symbolizes our cleansing from sin and a new beginning, but it also involves dressing us in an adult faith wardrobe of Christ’s life.  The New Living Translation puts it like this:

“And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on the character of Christ, like putting on new clothes.”

Picture it as being clothed in the righteousness of Christ!  It is His righteousness that God sees now when He looks at us!  This enables us to live a new life and leave a legacy of faith! Have you put on that set of new clothes?  Put on Christ today and follow Him in baptism this weekend at Super Summer Baptism 2. Register now!
