You know, if you change one letter in the word disappointment, it becomes two words, His appointment. So many times in my life, when I look back on my biggest disappointments and the times where I felt like God really let me down, I can see that those disappointments were really His appointments all along. Disappointment is His appointment in disguise.

Galatians 6:9 says “And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.”

Underline that phrase doing what’s right.  We do what is right, not because of the benefits or even the blessings, but because it is the right thing to do and we love God. The great thing is, God also says that you’ll reap a harvest of blessing if you don’t get discouraged and give up. See, the blessing is just around the bend. If I don’t give up and I do what is right, it changes my life. Then God says, “I’ll also take care of you and I’ll bless you if you do what is right.” You see, you are almost at the top of the mountain, don’t give up now. I don’t know what area in your life that you’re tempted to give up on, but don’t give up now. Do you trust God in the bad times, in the tough times, and in the difficult times? That is where you grow. It is easy to love God in the good times when everything is going well. By the way, your life will never be perfect until you get to heaven, so if you’re waiting for perfection to really love God, then you will never love God very much. As you go through difficult times, if you do what is right, even in the middle of the problems, it changes your life. Remember, God says, “The blessing is around the bend if you don’t give up. Hang in there.”
