“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

By now, some of you are already beginning to flourish as you meditate on our passage for this week.  If you’re just beginning the adventure, you, too, will begin to really thrive as you start meditating on the truth of God’s Word and stop listening to the lies of the enemy.  In our passage this week, we’re discovering that our fears don’t have to keep us from flourishing!  The truth is we all struggle with fear and timidity.  Some of you may have let your fears have the final word, and you find yourself just surviving when God desires that you thrive.

It’s time to give God the pen and let Him write your life story.  You’ve nourished those fears long enough, becoming convinced that what God desires for others He doesn’t for you.  Don’t believe that lie any longer!  Read the passage for this week and rediscover what God has given you.  The Bible tells us that every good and every perfect gift comes from God.  So, if you’re paralyzed by fear, it didn’t come from God.  Quit nourishing those fears.  How?  Consider in your meditation today all that God has given you in this passage alone.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of POWER, LOVE, and SELF-DISCIPLINE.”

These are the three qualities we need for 2017!  But, wait, these are the three qualities God has already given each of us who follow Christ.  They are gifts to be received.  Imagine receiving a Christmas gift from someone who loves you and never opening it.  Isn’t it time to open those gifts today?  Begin thanking God for the power, love and self-discipline He has given you for all that you need!

We are tremendously blessed by our teachings from out Pastor. We love you and your family.

  2. Knowing that you are loved is empowering. Acceptance to step out, to reach for something new without fear! What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
I would become a writer of children’s books. Happy stories, healthy messages, filled with encouragement.
