Eternal Hope

When God, the source of hope, fills me up with His hope, then it can overflow and drops of hope can come out of my life.

Romans 15:13 says “May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in Him and then you will overflow with hope.”

People are looking for hope, just one little drop of hope to know that there is a future, to know that they are going to be okay. We are the ones to give them hope because we have the source of hope.  Today, some people will sense a little drop of hope, and they’ll wonder where this great river of hope comes from. They need to see it in me, and they need to see it in you. I believe with all my heart that the source of hope and the answer to our problems today, will not come through a politician, will not come through government and will not come through an educator or a scientist. It will not come through anyone but the church of Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ is the source of hope. If we, as a church, point people to the source of hope, then they will find that hope. It will change us, and it will change our nation. When they find that hope in us, we can point them to the source of hope and say, as the apostle Andrew said, “We have found the Messiah,”  John 1:41.
