If I’m going to tap into the power of community, I have to embrace every moment. The miracle is always in the moment. The miracle always comes from embracing the here and the now. We vastly overestimate the power of yesterday, and we live in our regrets. We vastly overestimate the power of tomorrow, and we are filled with anxiety, but we highly underestimate the power of today. God’s favor is always in the here and the now. He’s always in today.

In fact, look at this verse in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “I tell you now is the time of God’s favor. Now is the day of salvation.”

Why is God’s favor always in the now? Because the now is all we know we have. Satan’s favorite word is tomorrow, and it’s real interesting what Satan will do to my life. He knows not to argue with me about the things that God has told me. He doesn’t do that. He’s like, “Oh yeah. God told you to do that. That’s great. You need to do that, Kerry. God. He’s really pretty smart. You need to do that, just do it tomorrow.” And he does it in my own Texas accent, and I think it’s me, and that’s what he will do to you. He will say to you right now. “You’re just too busy doing so many things that really aren’t that important, you just think they are. So, Kerry is so right on here, and you need to get in a small group, be part of a spiritual community. Yes you are. That’s right. You’ve made that decision, and you are going to do it. So you need to get in a small group, but just not today. Tomorrow. Do it tomorrow. Some other time. You’re just busy today. Do it tomorrow.” He won’t argue with you about the truth. God’s favorite word is now. Now is the time of God’s favor. The miracle is always in the moment. I challenge you, do whatever it takes. You know, the Bible says God’s name is “I am.” He told that to Moses, “I am” because God is the God of the present tense, not the God of tomorrow, not the God of yesterday, but the God of right now. And so, when you do something right now that God calls you to do, His hand of favor is on it. Embracing the moment, spiritual oneness, fellowship and to love and be loved on the deepest level. I just pray that when I come to the end of my life, this will describe my relationships. Are you totally connected in community, embracing each moment?
