Divine Connection

The Christian lifestyle is not just a matter of believing.  It is a matter of belonging. God wants you not only to believe in Him but to belong to His family, to be connected. I would say one of the greatest commitments you can make is to a local church family. God gives you certain opportunities to grow, certain opportunities to take the next step. The person you become will be determined by the commitments you make today. If you do not make those commitments and throw your hat over the fence, you will never reach the potential that God has placed within you. The second part of Romans 12:2 says:

“Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

As I join others in hearing the word of God preached, my faith grows. As I commit myself to other Christ followers, my gifts will be revealed. When I begin to understand a new internal motivation, a new thought pattern and a new divine connection, then I will find God’s will for my life which is good, pleasant and perfect. Romans 12:5 says:

“So in Christ we who are many form one body and each member belongs to all the others.”

History is God’s story and He has a divine purpose for all of humanity. He wants you to be a part of that and to do things in your life that you could never imagine. He wants to take you places that you would never dream possible, beyond anything you could ever think or expect, but you have got to make that commitment, that divine connection.  Are you connected?
