Christ in You

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20.

The mustard seed was the smallest known seed in Christ’s day. He was saying it’s not the amount of your faith, the amount of our strength, or the amount of our talent that is important. All that matters is the object of your faith, and the power that comes from Christ. God’s Spirit living in us produces the fruit in our lives but the problem is we take our little bit of faith, and we place a little in ourselves, a little in other people, a little in Jesus. But Jesus says take your faith, even if you think it’s not much, and put it in Me. You can be an ordinary person, but when you take your ordinary faith and place it in an extraordinary God, He does extraordinary things.

Colossians 1:27 says, “… Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Notice it doesn’t say, “Christ and you” or “Christ plus you.” It says, “Christ in you.” If you are a believer, the Spirit of the Living God lives in you, and He wants to live through you. The only person who has ever lived the perfect Christian life was Jesus Christ, so why not let Him live it out through you?
