An Eternal Investment

There are only two things that last forever, God’s Word and people. When you do something for someone to make a difference in their life, it’s going to last forever. If you sow eternal things, you are going to reap eternal things. If you sow generosity, you are going to reap generosity. Whatever you give out in life, you are going to get back. If you give out energy, you are going to get back energy. If you exercise, you are going to gain energy.

Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

So let me ask you – what are you building with your one and only life that’s going to outlast you? Because long after we are gone from this earth, the church buildings will still be here and lives will continue to be changed. There will be children growing up and falling in love with Christ. There will be young couples getting married, not only having a beautiful wedding, but learning how to have a beautiful marriage with God’s principles. Then long after these buildings have crumbled to dust and there is not one brick left standing, the people will be alive in Heaven forever because of what we, as the church, are doing. That’s why we do what we do, and that’s worth my life, and that’s worth your life.
