There is a three-digit number that God wants you to remember when it comes to our finances. This number is “419.” It’s God’s secret to help us survive and thrive in a shaky, economic environment. “419” is what you need to know to make it through a bear market. “419” is the number God gives us so we’ll never again have to worry about our finances. It’s the number – don’t forget it – “419.” Philippians 4:19. It’s God’s guarantee for your finances.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

Notice the word ‘all’ because God cares about all the details of your life, even finances. God says, “I’ll meet all your needs.” That includes mortgage payments to college tuition. God cares about it all. If you’re worried about it, God cares about it, because He doesn’t want you to worry about it. God cares about all the things in our lives, especially our finances because He knows finances are important to us. So God cares about it.

It says, “I’ll meet all your needs, not all your wants.” There’s a big difference. I don’t give my kids everything they want because I love them. If I gave my kids everything they wanted, they would be spoiled brats. God’s not going to give you everything you want, but He will give you everything you need. That’s His promise. His character is on the line here. His reputation is at stake. He says, “I’ll come through, and I’ll meet all your needs.”

Philippians 4:19. If you allow Him to be your financial advisor, then He will meet all your needs. You’ll never have to worry about your finances. But, I know that some of you are thinking, “Kerry, wait a minute. I’m a believer, and yet I’m going through tremendous financial pressure right now. I’m really struggling financially. So, what’s the deal? Is God a liar when He says that He’ll meet all my needs? What’s the problem?” No, God’s not a liar, but there’s a premise with this promise. There’s a condition with this promise. There may be times in your life where you go through financial difficulty. Sometimes God allows that in our lives to teach us to depend on Him, to trust Him, to grow us in our faith, to build our character. There may be times when you go through financial struggles, but if you seek God when it comes to finances, God promises you He will bring you out of the struggles into a place of blessing. That’s God’s guarantee.
