Foreign Missions

Our international missions reach from as far away as cyclone-devastated Myanmar, to Kenya, the Middle East, Costa Rica, Dubai, Sweden and elsewhere. We bring the gospel of Jesus as well as food, water, clothing, medical supplies and other vital necessities to those in dire need.

Haiti

With your generous support. Kerry Shook Ministries has continued our work in Haiti. Over 145,000 meals were provided for families and orphans. In Arachie Haiti we started a water project by installing our first water pump that has provided clean water for 2,000 locals plus 1,000 more in outlying remote areas. Lastly, our medical mission provided much needed medicine, and medical care for 1,000. See the work your support is providing in Haiti by watching our latest mission update video.

Thanks to your support, our vision to partner with a local church in Haiti to build a self-sustaining orphanage is much closer to reality. This summer we wired funds for a new water project that will service nearly 500 Haitians on an 80-acre compound. This will help support the efforts to farm fish, chickens, pigs and a variety of vegetables. It is our prayer that the orphanage will have the ability to develop a commercial enterprise that will not only create jobs and much needed revenue but that will teach the children how to support themselves.

The Haitian people living on the compound are strong in their faith and have already developed a cinder block microbusiness. This allows them to take tons of concrete debris from the recent earthquake and recycle it into cinder block molds to fabricate concrete blocks for construction and sale.

As we continue to support this effort, other churches have come alongside us and offered to help with other phases in this development. God is working miracles in Haiti and soon a self-sustaining orphanage will open its doors and demonstrate the reality of a loving God.

Kenya, Africa

Working together, we continue the life changing, life saving ministries and missions that help make a difference in the lives of people all over the world.

During the summer of 2010, we had the opportunity to visit Kenya, Africa with staff and students from our High School ministry at Woodlands Church. We experienced God's love in ways that were beyond expectations! We saw a glimpse of heaven on earth on the faces of children in the poorest regions of Kenya. With virtually nothing in this world to claim, they possessed the kingdom of God in their hearts with such overwhelming joy and gratitude. We visited schools and had the opportunity to speak and share the Word in classrooms and public assemblies. We also visited a camp where we distributed food and other essentials to people who have been displaced inside the country, for any number of tribal and political reasons.

We truly believe our efforts made an impact in the lives of those in the camps and schools, but also in the lives of others for generations to come.

Indonesia

In Indonesia we continue to rebuild the tsunami-devastated areas of Banda Aceh and support over 2500 orphans with food, clothing and school supplies.

LaCarpio, Costa Rica

In LaCarpio, Costa Rica we provide emotional and spiritual healing to under-resourced children through orphanages and community centers.

10/40 window

Throughout the 10/40 window, an area of the world populated by the poorest of the poor, where illiteracy and hunger are widespread, we feed the hungry and offer hope for a future.

Persecuted Church Ministry

Through our Persecuted Church Ministry we have raised awareness and support for the missionaries in places all over the world where people are persecuted for their faith.
